Synopsis[]
Inomata and the kids bake cookies together on a Sunday because Yagi invited them all to spend time together.
Long Summary[]
Inomata silently studies while her classmates chat.
It is now March, but the class is as lively as ever. Inomata is studying her math book when Yagi lowers her book and asks if she is free this Sunday. As he mentions that it is almost White Day, the other female classmates become upset, thinking that Yagi is asking Inomata out. Yagi explains that he would like to bake cookies together with her and the children; the girls believe that the babysitting club is more important than Inomata, who is more important than them. Inomata agrees to help them bake cookies since she is a member of the home economics club.
The children are excited to bake cookies.
In the kitchen, the children, including the Nezu twins, are excited to bake and eat cookies. Chuukichi threatens to kick Yagi out of the room if he does not stop his nosebleed. Ushimaru thanks Inomata for inviting her and thinks about baking cookies with Ryuuichi. Suddenly, Inomata slams her hand on the table and scolds Yagi for holding a phone while cooking and the children for not having clean hands. She holds up hand sanitizer and soap as the stunned children hold out their hands. Hayato curses, which Ryuu scolds him for; Ryuu notes how enthusiastic Inomata seems. Usaida carries Midori over to the room and sees Yagi locked outside of the kitchen temporarily. Inomata carefully measures out 230 grams of flour on a scale and gently sifts the flour. Hayato asks why she is being so careful and dumps an entire bag into a bowl. Chuukichi also does not use instruments or scales to add in the ingredients, but Suekichi and Kichi explain that their brother's cookies are always delicious.
Taka asks to stir, but Hayato ignores him.
Inomata asks Yagi why he invited her along when he already had someone so talented with him. Yagi tells her that he quite likes Inomata since she likes children, is a good friend, and is funny. Ryuu is shocked by Yagi's kind and loving words, saying that even he felt flustered. Usaida and Hayato inform him that he speaks in the same way sometimes. The children then tell Inomata that they all love her as well, which causes her to feel flustered. Inomata instructs them to add the butter and sugar and mix it all very well. Ryuu struggles to mix the hard butter, but Hayato easily whisks the butter around at an incredibly high speed. Taka asks if he can mix it as well, but Hayato ignores him and asks Inomata what to do next. Taka starts to cry, and Inomata scolds Hayato to making him upset. Ryuu tells Hayato to let him help, but Hayato replies that if they help in each step, they will never get things done.
An envious Ushimaru watches Hayato roll up Ryuu's sleeves.
Hayato lets Taka mix, but his snot is about to drip into the cookie mix. Kirin fails to properly crack an egg as Takuma and Kazuma make a powdery mess while sifting flour. For the second time, Chuukichi locks Yagi out of the kitchen. Ushimaru helps them add eggs using a sieve, saying she also struggles with cracking eggs. The children and others start to eat the raw cookie dough, causing Inomata to scold them. They cover the dough and let it sit in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes. The children take naps during the waiting time. When the dough is ready, they roll it out and use cookie cutters to make shapes. Taka eagerly decides to cut out Justice Knight. Kotaro holds up the bear-shaped cookie cutter while Ryuu helps roll out the dough. As he is rolling out the dough, Ryuu sees that his sleeve has fallen down to his wrist. He turns around and asks Ushimaru to roll up his sleeve, mistaking her for Hayato. Ushimaru becomes flustered and thinks to herself that she wants to roll up his sleeve, but Hayato quickly comes over and rolls up Ryuu's sleeve. Ushimaru blushes, for she has never been this jealous in her life.
The children create large heart-shaped cookies.
The children struggle to make clean shapes in the dough, but the students help them out. Kirin decides to make a heart-shaped cookie, which excites Kotaro. Ryuu asks Kotaro if he wants to make heart-shaped cookies for the chairwoman and Saikawa, to which Kotaro nods. He looks at the heart cookie cutter with utter disappointment, however, which confuses Ryuu. Kotaro starts making big strokes with his arms. Ryuu asks if he is trying to mimic the chairwoman doing breaststrokes, which Hayato immediately refutes. Chuukichi then uses a knife to cut out a huge heart from the cookie dough, asking Kotaro if this is what he meant to make. Kotaro's eyes sparkle, saying he loves the chairwoman and Saikawa a lot. The rest of the children also want to make large hearts, so Inomata decides to make large hearts in addition to the small ones that they have made. Chuukichi divides up the roles and asks Usaida if he can take Yagi to the infirmary, for Yagi has created a a large puddle of blood from his nosebleeds. The children finish up their cookies with a chocolate pen to write messages.
Ryuu, Kotaro, the chairwoman, and Saikawa enjoy the cookie together.
The children present their heart-shaped cookies to their mothers, and Kotaro brings home his cookie without breaking it, surprisingly. The chairwoman bends down and thanks Kotaro, but Kotaro slips and falls onto the cookie as he is running over. Kotaro starts to tear up, and Ryuu consoles his little brother. However, the cookie was still delicious and had the taste of a pleasant time. The chairwoman instructs Saikawa to bring over black tea and milk so they can enjoy the cookie together.
